HIGH SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY: Indiana places three at Forest Hills Invitational

SIDMAN — Three runners from the Indiana cross country team placed in the Forest Hills Invitational on Saturday.

Ryan Louther took seventh with a time of 16 minutes, 38 seconds, and Adam Lenze finished in 16:49 for 10th place.

Kacey Raible paced the Indiana girls by placing 25th in 21:32.

Indiana travels to Derry for a triangular meet with Franklin Regional on Tuesday.

• SLIPPERY ROCK — The Indiana Junior High girls’ cross country team finished 12th on Saturday at the Slippery Rock Invitational at Cooper’s Lake.

Clara Sherwood paced Indiana by placing 62nd with a time of 13:46. Other scorers were Maddie Todd (90th, 14:06), Jennifer Brice (98th, 14:19), Sydney Wells (106th, 14:26), Kara Gibbon (113th, 14:36), Hannah Lenze (137th, 15:03) and Shaelyn Waltemire (141st, 15:04). There were 505 runners.

The boys’ team took 20th place and was led by Mark Wagner, who finished 82nd (12:29) out of the 537 participants.

Isaac Evans (101st, 12:44), Matt Berzonsky (104th, 12:45), Zach Fries (125th, 12:57) Brandon Bosley (133rd, 13:04), Joey Bujdos (158th, 13:18) and Rocco Fanella (174th, 13:31) also scored team points for Indiana.

The Indians will visit Penn-Trafford on Monday.
