NEW YORK (AP) — Authorities say a man who was dodging cars on a Manhattan street, leading to police gunfire that wounded two bystanders, faces multiple counts including menacing and resisting arrest.
Two officers opened fire Saturday night near Times Square after Glenn Broadnax, 35, made movements suggesting he had a weapon.
The officers’ shots missed him, and he was eventually brought down by a stun gun.
The bullets struck a 54-year-old woman in the right knee and grazed a 35-year-old woman in the buttocks, police said.
Neither had injuries considered life threatening.
Broadnax is in custody.
