Keystone State Park will host two more programs in October.
• Nature at Night hike, Oct. 12 from 7 to 9 p.m.
International Observe the Moon Night is an annual event that is dedicated to encouraging people to look up and take notice of our nearest neighbor, the moon.
Join us at the visitor center for a brief introduction to our mysterious nighttime companions — from bats and owls to the moon and stars — before venturing out onto the trails for a look at nature at night. Register at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (724) 668-2566.
• Fabulous Fall hike, Oct. 19 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Hike along the beautiful trails of Keystone State Park to investigate the splendors of fall. Learn to identify a variety of plants that brighten up our forests and fields this special time of year.
Meet at the visitor center. Dress for the weather. Items you may want to bring include sturdy shoes, water, bug repellent and binoculars.
Call to register.
