Now that the season is winding down, I think that it’s appropriate to publicly thank the Indiana County Fair Board of Directors and their sponsors for their untiring efforts in presenting the 151st Indiana County Fair.
Like many other volunteer boards in Indiana County, the fair board manages to provide a premier product with continuing diminished funding. It was an honor to be at the yearly Friday luncheon to learn that next year’s funding for the annual agricultural exhibition will be somewhat enhanced. My guess is that the windfall will barely keep up with growing inflation and event costs.
The fair is a signature event in the county and is yet another reason why you don’t have to leave the county to experience affordable family entertainment.
I am already looking forward to Indiana County Fair 2014, always the week before Labor Day. See you at the fair!
