Thousands of volunteers lend a hand to America’s lands on National Public Lands Day each year. Now in its 20th year, the event is the largest annual volunteer hands-on restoration activity of its kind, providing millions of dollars in real improvements.
It brings together volunteers from all walks of life to refurbish and restore the lands and facilities Americans use for recreation, education, and just plain enjoyment. Join in at Keystone State Park at 9 a.m. Saturday. Meet at the visitors’ center. Registration is required at pmcquistia@ pa.gov or (724) 668-2566.
Gloves, tools and garbage bags will be provided.
