State police in Indiana have opened an investigation related to missing bingo proceeds from the Coral-Graceton Volunteer Fire Company.
Indiana County District Attorney Patrick Dougherty, who confirmed the existence of the investigation, said state police initiated an inquiry based on an anonymous tip his office received Friday. He said his office referred the matter to state police after receiving the tip.
According to Dougherty, thousands of dollars from the department’s bingo game are said to be unaccounted for.
Coral-Graceton Chief Tony Dellafiora could not be reached for comment this morning. A state police spokesman also could not be reached for comment.
