Criminal mischief

Borough police charged Colin McKinnon, 18, of Hatfield, with criminal mischief for vandalizing several vehicles with graffiti by writing “sauce” on them with a white paint marker the night of Sept. 1.


Noise violation

Faras Bakhraibah, 21, was cited with violating borough noise ordinances after neighbors complained of loud singing and music around 11 p.m. Sept. 13 at 600 Crimson Court, according to police.



The Co-op Store reported that Lexus Gulston, 20, stole a code from a book on display there at 2:20 p.m. Sept. 5. The incident was captured on video and those at the store were able to verify that an account set up later was created with a stolen code, according to police.

John Smith Jr. reported to Indiana Borough police that someone stole a small, wooden sign painted with a drawing of Winnie the Pooh between 8 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday from the backyard at his residence, 469 School St., according to a news release.

Sometime between midnight and 4 a.m. Saturday, someone stole a laptop and cash from an apartment in the 200 block of South Seventh Street, according to police. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (724) 349-2121.



State police at Indiana are investigating a burglary at the Dan and Michelle Fleming residence along Main Street.

Police said a burglar entered the residence between 7:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday and stole cash and jewelry.

Armstrong Township


Michael Wisor, 24, of Penn Run, told state police at Indiana that when he met Michael Schrecengost, 29, of Indiana, near the Exxon station at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, Schrecengost assaulted him and stole $260 from him.

Police said Schrecengost was charged with robbery and theft.



Michael Bungo, 24, of Shelocta, is facing charges of harassment after he threatened Roy Sadler, 70, of Shelocta on Sept. 11, according to state police at Indiana.



Someone stole a small generator between 7:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday from the Sagamore home of Jonathan Cloyd Zimmerman, 40, state police at Kittanning reported.
