Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Special Education and Clinical Services Department recently held its third annual Confections for a Cause fundraiser in Davis Hall for Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. The money raised will go to support ovarian cancer education and research. During the past two years, the department has raised more than $2,200 during the event. The event got its start because members of the department wanted to honor another member of the department, Vickie Johnson, who had lost family members to ovarian cancer. Pictured, from left, are Johnson, administrative assistant; Celia Barber, speech clinic secretary; and Shari Robertson, dean’s associate, School of Graduate Studies and Research.
