Trout Unlimited sets kickoff meeting
Ken Sink Trout Unlimited will hold its kickoff membership meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the Indiana Elks.
The board meeting starts at 6 p.m.
The topic will be "Mountain Trout: Fly-fishing for Wild Trout on Pennsylvania's Forested Freestone Streams," a presentation by Dwight Landis, author of "Trout Streams of Pennsylvania: An Angler's Guide.”
The meeting is open to the public, and all are welcome.
Club to hold coon hunt
The Indiana County Fox and Coon Hunting Association will hold a coon hunt on Saturday, Oct. 26.
Registration is from 5 to 6 p.m., and turn-in is no later than 12:30 a.m.
The fee is $20.
The club is located at 255 Ramsey Run Road, Indiana.

Shelocta club sets turkey shoots
SHELOCTA — The Shelocta Sportsmen’s Club will hold turkey shoots on Sundays, Oct. 13, Oct. 20 and Nov. 3.
Registation is at noon, and the shoots begin at 1 p.m.
Cowboy shoot set at club
The Indiana Bow and Gun Club will hold a cowboy action shoot on Sunday, Oct. 27.
Registration is from 9 to 10 a.m.
A mandatory safety meeting begins at 10 a.m.
Single Action Shooting Society rules apply. Shooters under 16 must be accomplanied by a parent. No shooters under 12 are allowed.
Appropriate dress of the late 1800s is required.
