Posters for lost pets are common, but a flier for a lost pachyderm?

This stuffed elephant, a favorite of 5-year-old Ella Barley, of Indiana, wandered off last week while Ella was having an ice skating lesson at the S&T Bank Arena in White Township, according to her mother, Laura Barley.

“Elephant” was a gift from Ella’s grandmother. Even though Ella added some of her own artwork to the poster to aid in identification, finding the missing friend may be more of a challenge than locating the average lost dog or cat.

The elephant is only 2 inches tall. (Jamie Empfield/Gazette photo)
