NEW YORK (AP) — A fourth motorcyclist has been arrested in connection with the beating of a motorist pulled from his car and set upon by a group of bikers in New York City.
Police say Craig Wright, 29, of Brooklyn, was arrested Monday on charges of gang assault, assault and unlawful imprisonment. It wasn’t clear if he had a lawyer.
Police say the bikers stopped the SUV on a highway and later attacked the vehicle and pulled the driver from his car after he had plowed over a Massachusetts motorcyclist while trying to escape the initial confrontation.
The driver’s wife has said her husband was trying to protect her and their 2-year-old child when he fled and ran over the biker, injuring his spine.
