NORTHERN CAMBRIA — Blairsville topped Northern Cambria, 45-12, in a junior high girls’ basketball game Thursday, improving its record to 14-1.

Rena Enterline poured in 25 points to lead the Bobcats, and Catherine Martin added 10.

Blairsville won the seventh- and eighth-grade game, 26-6, improving to 12-0.

Blairsville plays host to Purchase Line on Monday.

• MARION CENTER — Marion Center edged Ligonier Valley, 27-23.

Jackie Fetsko scored a team-high 10 points for the Stingers, and Grace Snyder added seven.

Ligonier Valley won the seventh- and eighth-grade game, 20-7.

Marion Center plays at Northern Cambria on Monday.

• HOMER CITY — Homer-Center defeated Saltsburg, 53-23, behind Lexi Newhouse’s 17 points. Emily Worcester added nine points.

Isabel Satler scored 18 points to lead the Trojans.

Saltsburg won the seventh- and eighth-grade game, 21-12.

Golfers place in D6 tourney

STATE COLLEGE — Blairsville’s Marissa Lawton finished 22nd and Northern Cambria’s Molly Salley took 26th place out of 36 players in the District 6 Class AA girls’ golf championship, played Wednesday and Thursday at the Penn State White Course.

Lawton shot a 105 and a 103 for a 208 in the two-day, 36-hole tournament. Salley shot 113-105—218.

Bishop McCort’s Kayla Orr was the champion, with a 164 for the tournament.
