Katie McCutcheon, of Indiana, and Chad Sherman, of Beaver Falls, were united in marriage July 13, 2013, at Our Lady of Grace church, Greensburg, with Father Paul Lisik officiating.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Bill and Debbie McCutcheon, of Indiana, and the groom is the son of Joel and Lorraine Sherman, of Beaver Falls.
The maid of honor was Shannon Tokar, of Indiana. Bridesmaids were Justine Juart, of Staunton, Va.; Keri Marshall, of Cherry Tree; and Emily Sherman, sister of the groom, of Preston, Md.
The best man was Steve Schultheis, of Conshohocken. Groomsmen were Ryan Shadley, Beaver Falls; Lane Justice, of Beaver Falls; and Jared Sherman, brother of the groom, of Preston, Md.
The ring bearer was Ben Caretti and the flower girl was Catalina Caretti, both from Woodsboro, Md., and both cousins of the bride
The bride wore a white and silver Justin Alexander organza ball gown with tiered ruffles and a chapel-length train. The bodice was accented with crystal beading and crystal buttons down the back.
The reception was held at Ferrante’s Lakeview in Greensburg.
Katie is a 2003 graduate of Indiana Area High School; a 2007 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education; and a 2011 graduate of IUP with a master’s degree in literacy.
She is employed as a first-grade teacher at Ben Franklin Elementary School in White Township.
Chad is a 2003 graduate of Blackhawk High School in Beaver Falls; a 2006 graduate of IUP with a bachelor’s degree in communications media; a 2007 graduate of IUP with a master’s degree in adult education and communications technology; and a 2011 graduate of IUP with a doctorate in communications media and instructional technology. He is an assistant professor of communications at Waynesburg University.
The couple traveled to Montego Bay, Jamaica, for their honeymoon.
They reside in Greensburg.
