Shelly Nicole Fushi, daughter of Gene and Maryanne Fushi, of Jackson, Mich., and Shane Thomas Stitt, son of Rick and Sue Stitt, of Indiana, were united in marriage on July 13, 2013, at the Jackson Free Methodist Church, Jackson.
Both the bride and groom were given away by their parents. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Jason Engle. Tom Wilson, grandfather of the bride, read Scripture and Tom Harris, grandfather of the groom, read a poem.
The bride wore an A-line strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline. It was a beaded lace design with a semi-long train and corset backing.
The bridal party included matron of honor Heather Myers, sister of the bride; and Kayla Monville, Kelsey Rogers and Chelsea Christopherson. Logan Fulmer, cousin of the groom, was the flower girl.
The best man was Steve Stitt, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Kevin Mathe and Mark Mathe, cousins of the groom, and Brad Holuta.
A dinner reception at the Potter Center of Jackson Community College followed the ceremony.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Vandercook Lake High School. She graduated from Saginaw Valley State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education. She is currently a fifth-grade teacher at Hualapai Elementary School in Kingman, Ariz.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Indiana Area Senior High School. He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in sports administration and in 2011 with a master’s degree in health and physical education. He is a K-6 physical education teacher at Mt. Tipton School in Dolan Springs, Ariz.
Following a honeymoon at the Massanutten Resort in McGaheysville, Va., the couple is residing in Kingman, Ariz.
