TODD BIRD CLUB
“Birding the Galapagos” and “Cuba” were the programs at the September and October Todd Bird Club meetings at Blue Spruce Park Lodge.
In September, member and well-known photographer Nancy Murphy, of Tunnelton, presented a program on the Galapagos.
Her photographs included not only the numerous birds found on the islands but also reptiles, amphibians and mammals that call the Galapagos home.
At the October meeting, members Flo and Jim McGuire, of Tionesta, shared their opportunity to travel to Cuba last fall on a National Audubon-sponsored birding and cultural trip.
Through their many photographs, they were able to share scenes of this beautiful island and its colorful birds with club members.
The next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday. It will feature birder and photographer Steve Glosser, who will present “Photos from Steve’s Birding Adventures.”
Steve is an active member of the Three Rivers Birding Club, Pittsburgh, and has won wide acclaim for his excellent bird photography.
Todd Bird Club meetings begin at 7 p.m. the first Tuesday of the month from September through April at the Blue Spruce Lodge in Blue Spruce County Park.
The club also sponsors numerous outings led by experienced birders throughout the area.
Everyone interested in birds and birding is invited to attend.
