The Indiana Area School District board of directors on Oct. 28 passed a proposal to place a referendum question on the May 20 spring primary ballot asking district voters to approve a 12 mill increase in the property tax. The proposal for the referendum and the amount of the increase are subject to confirmation of the board following the election.

The enactment of an increase would be subject to the result of the vote.
