The IUP athletic department is offering free admittance to all military veterans when the Crimson Hawks play host to Gannon in their last regular-season home football game Saturday. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.

The game with the Golden Knights is IUP’s annual Veterans Day Game. All veterans who identify themselves at the ticket booth prior to the game at George P. Miller Stadium will receive one free ticket.

Brad August, who was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and was part of a NATO Implementation Force, will be honored with a special presentation after the first quarter. A reservist with the 911th Airlift Wing in Pittsburgh, he also will take part in the coin toss.

At halftime, IUP’s ROTC and Rho Tau Chi, the school’s military co-ed community service fraternity, will present a check to the Fisher House Foundation. Fisher House is best known for the network of comfort homes built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers nationwide and in Europe.
