DINNER: The Plum Youth Group will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Purchase Line United Methodist Church Activity Building. Cost is a donation. All donations will go toward the retreat “SPARK” in Pittsburgh.


BAZAAR: The Plumville Church, 168 Main St., will hold a bazaar from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in the church basement. There will be crafts, baked goods, rummage sale items and food.


COOKIE SALE: The Chestnut Hills Social Center, located at 26 Heybert Drive, Blairsville, is taking orders for their nut horn cookies. A dozen cookies are available for $5.  

Stock up now for the holiday, and remember, cookies always make a nice gift. Place your order before Dec. 2 by calling (724) 459-5251. Pick up date is Dec. 16.


 VENDOR SHOW: Mothers of Preschoolers of Indiana is hosting a vendor show event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 30 at The Summit Church, 2707 West Pike, White Township. Tables and electric hook-up are available.

BINGO: The Elderton Volunteer Fire Department sponsors bingo every Thursday. Early bird starts at 6:45 p.m. with the regular game at 7 p.m.


SOUP SALE: The Luther Chapel Lutheran Church, 168 Power Plant Road, Coral, will hold a soup and sandwich sale and a basket auction at noon Sunday. Cost is $7 per person and $3.50 for children younger than 6. Takeouts will be available. Bring your own container. This is a benefit fundraiser for the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s Malaria Campaign and is co-sponsored by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.


SWING DANCE: Indiana County’s chapter of PEO is hosting a swing dance beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Indiana Elks Lodge, 475 S. 13th St., Indiana. A dance lesson with instructor Joan Van Dyke will begin at 7 p.m., followed by music from Pittsburgh’s Neon Swing X-Perience from 8 to 11 p.m. The fundraiser will include basket raffles. There will be a cash bar. All proceeds support PEO’s educational scholarships for women. Tickets are available in advance for $20 per person at the Indiana Free Library or by contacting Barb at (724) 349-2171. Tickets will also be available at the door for $25 per person. Tickets for Indiana University of Pennsylvania students are $10.


MEETING: AARP Evergreen Chapter 2581 will meet at the VFW Country Club at noon Nov. 19 for a soup, salad and dessert luncheon. The business meeting will follow at 1 p.m. PA Pickers will provide the program. Christmas luncheon tickets will be on sale.
