CLYMER — A turkey dinner with all the trimmings will be held beginning at 5:30 p.m. today at the Clymer Alliance Church, 690 Franklin St., Clymer.
The meal is to kick off the annual Mission Conference, which will feature Judy Thompson, who has ministered in several countries including Ecuador, Philippines and most recently Germany. Thompson will be speaking as well as showing a video and articles she has acquired from these locations after the meal Saturday, during Sunday school and in both morning worship and Sunday evening services.

Pork, holupki, halushki dinner
CLYMER — A pork, holupki and halushki dinner will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Michael’s Orthodox Church, 465 Morris St., Clymer.
The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 to 12. Children younger than 6 eat for free. Takeout is available and everyone is welcome.
HOMER CITY — A nut, poppyseed and apricot roll sale will be held Monday and Tuesday at St. Mary’s Holy Protection Byzantine Catholic Church, 279 Yellow Creek St., Homer City.

Butch Ross workshops, concert
DuBOIS — Area native Butch Ross, a nationally known performer on mountain dulcimer, will conduct workshops and perform in concert Nov. 23 in the multi-purpose room at Christ Lutheran Church, 875 Sunflower Drive, DuBois.
The two workshops, “Roots of Rock-n-Roll,” begin at 1:30 and 3:15 p.m., followed by a concert at 7 p.m.
Suggested donations are $20 per person for one workshop or concert and $35 per person for both workshops.

Thanksgiving Concert of Praise
The 19th annual Community Thanksgiving Concert of Praise has been scheduled for Nov. 24 at Graystone Church in Indiana.
Doors to the church will open at 5:30 p.m., the prelude music with the Sounds of Grace Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Keith Young, will begin at 6 p.m. and the actual concert will get under way at 6:30. The community is cordially invited to participate.
This community concert will be broadcast on WMUG-FM (105.1 FM) in Indiana and shared around the world for our men and women in the armed forces on the Web at wmugradio.org. Refreshments will follow in the gathering room, according to the host pastor, the Rev. Rick Hurley.
This year’s lineup of talent features The Indi-Annas; the Spring Valley Singers; organist Evan Bellas; Frank and Rosalie Petrillo; a women’s trio consisting of Dawn Winstead, Carol Harkleroad and Debra Moore; comedian Ron Droske; pastor-singer Paul Thompson; the Graystone Bell Choir; classical soloist Rebecca Driscoll; The Regal Brass with director Nevin Saylor; The Sounds of Grace Orchestra; and the Pittsburgh Gospel Lights.

AMBROSE — A women’s Christmas tea will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Ambrose Baptist Church. Entertainment will be provided by Cindi Kordell.

Mission trip to Holy Land
A unique mission trip to the Holy Land, led by Jan Ogden, of Indiana, will take place April 27 to May 9, 2014.
Visit the land where Jesus lived, walked and was crucified. The journey incorporates volunteering and serving the people who live in the Holy Land while also visiting holy sites.
