The University Museum at IUP will present the exhibition “Capturing the Moment: Photography at IUP,” from Saturday through Dec. 7 in John Sutton Hall.
The public is invited to a free opening reception on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
According to Christopher Juengel, one of the exhibition’s curators and a member of Communications Media Department faculty at IUP, “Capturing the Moment” is “a photographic celebration of those moments that make up our lives.”
It showcases diverse images by students, faculty and alumni of the department — more than 70 exhibitors.
Co-curators of the exhibition are Heather Tabacchi, Shanna Bausert, Dr. Julie Gomboc-Turyan and Amanda Henretty.
The exhibition is co-sponsored and supported by the Communications Media Department and the College of Education and Educational Technology.
All University Museum exhibitions are free to the public. This exhibition is supported, in part, by the Student Cooperative Association at IUP and by private donations.
The museum also receives funding through a grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts through the Pennsylvania Rural Arts Alliance.
The museum’s open hours are: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 2 to 6:30 p.m.; Thursday, noon to 7:30 p.m.; and Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. The museum is closed Sunday, Monday and all university holidays.
