At 2:23 a.m. Sunday, Indiana police were called to the 600 block of Washington Street for a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. Police said Alaina Whitaker, 21, of Chantilly, Va., approached an officer and while she was intoxicated acted belligerently and disorderly. She was released into the custody of a sober adult who lived nearby.
Police said that before the officer left, the sober adult came back and asked that Whitaker be removed from the residence because she was assaulting someone inside.
The officer went to the residence and saw Whitaker assaulting a female, according to reports.
Police said pepper spray was used to subdue Whitaker. She was charged with simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness, police said.
Indiana University of Pennsylvania police arrested three IUP students at 3:35 a.m. Nov. 1 in the Robertshaw parking lot following an investigation of a suspicious vehicle.
Police charged Stefan Schlachter, 18, of Mehoopany; David Vanzant, 19, of Mount Wolf; and Joseph Beckhardt, 18, of Mount Wolf, with possession of a small amount of marijuana and underage drinking.

Indiana police responded to a report of a fight in front of Wolfendale’s bar along the 500 block of Philadelphia Street at 1:51 a.m. Nov. 1.
Officers found Shavel Spencer, 20 of Erie, there. She was arrested for possession of marijuana and a fake ID, disorderly conduct and underage drinking.

Indiana police said Kevin Thimm, 20, of West Chester, was observed in possession of marijuana at 12:22 a.m. Nov. 1 along the 700 block of South Street.
He was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Indiana police conducted a traffic stop at 12:34 a.m. Oct. 25 along the 500 block of Nixon Avenue.
During the stop, drug paraphernalia was located in the vehicle, and Troy Ryen, 26, of Rochester Mills, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
IUP police found Megan Whalen, 18, of Sharpsville, rolling on the ground and screaming at 11:23 p.m. Nov. 1 at Delaney Hall.
Police cited her for underage drinking and public drunkenness.

Employees of the Giant Eagle Express, 435 S. Seventh St., detained a customer who ate food while standing in line to pay at12:41 a.m. on Nov. 2.
Indiana police said the customer, Christopher Delaney, 21, of Greensburg, ate a Styrofoam container of hot food valued at $7, then tried to leave the line.
Police cited Delaney with public drunkenness and retail theft.

Indiana officers responded to the Sheetz store at 768 Wayne Ave. at 2:25 a.m. on Nov. 2 for a report of a retail theft.
Police said Patrick Valenti, 20, of Austin, attempted to conceal a candy bar in his pants pocket.
He was cited for underage drinking and retail theft.
State police at Indiana charged Gwen Peelor, 48, of Indiana, with public drunkenness at 8:35 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said Peelor caused a disturbance at Indiana Regional Medical Center.
State police at Indiana charged Aubrey Bukovan, 30, of Pittsburgh, with DUI and traffic offenses on Nov. 2.
Police stopped Bukovan on Wayne Avenue near the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex.
State police at Indiana charged Christopher Schroyer, 20, of Blairsville, with possession of drug paraphernalia at 12:22 p.m. Nov. 1.
Police said Schroyer had passed out at the McDonald’s restaurant.
