Butch Ross appearance
DuBOIS — Area native Butch Ross, a nationally known performer on the mountain dulcimer, will conduct workshops and perform in concert today in the multi-purpose room at Christ Lutheran Church, 875 Sunflower Drive, DuBois.
The two workshops, “Roots of Rock-n-Roll,” begin at 1:30 and 3:15 p.m., followed by a concert at 7 p.m. Suggested donations are $20 per person for one workshop or concert and $35 per person for both workshops.

A spaghetti dinner sponsored by Children and Youth for Christ will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Christ Bible Fellowship Church, Old Route 119 South, Indiana.
The menu is spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert and drink. The cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children ages 5 to 11, and free for ages 4 and younger.
Takeout is available. Everyone who attends is eligible to receive a door prize ticket.
Thanksgiving Concert of Praise
The 19th annual Community Thanksgiving Concert of Praise has been scheduled for Sunday at Graystone Church in Indiana.
Doors to the church will open at 5:30 p.m., the prelude music with the Sounds of Grace Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Keith Young, will begin at 6 p.m. and the actual concert will get under way at 6:30 p.m. The community is cordially invited to participate.
This community concert will be broadcast on WMUG-FM (105.1 FM) in Indiana and shared around the world for our men and women in the armed forces on the Web at wmugradio.org. Refreshments will follow in the gathering room, according to the host pastor, the Rev. Rick Hurley.
This year’s lineup of talent features The Indi-Annas; the Spring Valley Singers; organist Evan Bellas; Frank and Rosalie Petrillo; a women’s trio consisting of Dawn Winstead, Carol Harkleroad and Debra Moore; comedian Ron Droske; pastor-singer Paul Thompson; the Graystone Bell Choir; classical soloist Rebecca Driscoll; The Regal Brass with director Nevin Saylor; The Sounds of Grace Orchestra; and the Pittsburgh Gospel Lights.
J.D. Varner, the executive director of the Christian Witness Media Ministries, is the producer of this annual concert.
Thanksgiving eve services
A Thanksgiving eve and communion service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cornerstone Worship Center, 500 Lenz Road, White Township.

Community Thanksgiving dinner
The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary will sponsor the annual community Thanksgiving dinner at noon Thursday at the Eagles, 420 Philadelphia St., Indiana. For reservations, call The Salvation Army at (724) 465-2530.
A vendor show, sponsored by Mothers of Preschoolers, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Summit Church, 2707 West Pike, White Township.
There are more than 40 vendors scheduled to take part, including Trend Set Fashions, Heaven Scent Country Creations, Silipada, Hickory Hollow, Tastefully Simple, Jamberry Nails, Creative Chocolates and Pampered Chef.
COOKPORT — A spaghetti dinner will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Pine Grove Church of God, Route 240, between Uniontown and Cookport.
The cost is $6 for adults, $3.50 for children 6 to 12, and free for ages 5 and younger. The dinner is sponsored by the men’s group at the church.
Women’s Christmas tea
AMBROSE — A women’s Christmas tea will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Ambrose Baptist Church. Entertainment will be provided by Cindi Kordell.
Donations of thermometers, bathroom scales, washcloths, towels and nutritional supplements will be accepted for the Visiting Nurse Association.
Hanging of the greens
KENWOOD — The Kenwood Church of the Nazarene invites the public to participate in the annual Hanging of the Greens service at 6 p.m. Dec. 1 at the church. Join us as we prepare for the Christmas season with special music, scripture, readings and decorating.
DAYTON — The Dayton United Methodist fundraising team will hold their annual all-you-can-eat hunters’ breakfast from 4:30 to 8:30 a.m. Dec. 2 at the Christian Life Center of the church, 105 E. Church Ave., Dayton.
The cost is $5. The menu includes pancakes, buckwheat pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, orange juice, toast and coffee. No extra cost to fill a thermos.
