IUP running back De’Antwan Williams has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week after breaking the single-game school rushing record Saturday.

A senior, Williams ran for 315 yards on 39 carries in a 42-21 win over Shippensburg in the season finale. He broke the record of 286 yards set by Chris Morgan against East Stroudsburg in 2006.

Williams raised his season total to 1,347 yards, which ranks seventh in school history. He rushed for 18 touchdowns, one shy of the school record.

In two seasons at IUP, Williams rushed for 2,672 yards, the fifth-highest career total in school history.
