FUNDRAISER: The junior class at Ligonier Valley High School will hold a fundraiser from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Carol and Dave’s Roadhouse, 122 N. Market St., Ligonier. Stop by and eat dinner or buy gift cards at the restaurant and 10 percent of the money earned will be donated to the junior class.
CRAFT SHOW: The Elderton Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a craft show with a soup and sandwich lunch from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 14 at the fire hall. There will be local vendors with many handmade items, such as crocheted items, woodwork, jewelry, florals, scarves, handmade soaps and lotions and much more for last-minute shopping.
Homemade soup and sandwiches will be sold as well.
There will be free admission and parking.
CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION: An old-fashioned Christmas in Homer City will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Homer City Fire Hall, 25 Church St.
There will be a bonfire, holiday music, and food made by the firemen. A parade will begin at 6 p.m. with participants lining up at the Laundromat.
Visits with Santa will take place inside the fire hall. Free treats will be given. Bring your camera for pictures.
Crafts, baked goods and baskets will also be offered.
Trolley rides will be given after the parade until 8 p.m.
This event is sponsored by the Women’s Club of Homer City and the Homer City Area Business Association.
SENIOR CITIZENS’ LUNCHEON: The annual senior citizens’ luncheon for Ligonier Valley School District residents will be held Dec. 17 at noon at Ligonier Valley High School. The program will begin in the auditorium with a brief preview of this year’s choral concert. Lunch will be served in the cafeteria at approximately 12:30 p.m.
Beginning Dec. 9, reservations may be made by calling the high school at (724) 238-9531 anytime between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Seating is limited. Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
