Kristina Beth Watson, of Churchville, and David Edward Magolis, of Punxsutawney, exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, in a double-ring ceremony at Fonthill Castle in Doylestown.
Pastor Kevin Myers, of North Apollo, a friend of the groom, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of John and Wendy Watson, of Churchville.
The groom is the son of Dick and Charlene Magolis, of Punxsutawney.
Kristina was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. She wore a romantic Pronovias lace and tulle wedding gown detailed with straps and a sweetheart neckline. The elegant design featured a fit and flare silhouette and a ballgown skirt overlay with lace appliqu￩. She wore her hair in a chignon, which was held in place with a fingertip-length veil with ribbon edging. The bouquet was made in a European hand tied style with Tibet roses, white majolikke spray roses, white hydrangeas, dusty miller and an accent of fresh lavender.
Kandice Watson, of Brooklyn, N.Y., sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelly Sandon, of Plainfield, Ill., and Deanne Magolis, of Indiana, sister-in-law of the groom. The flower girls were Lena Magolis, niece of the groom, of Indiana, and Charlotte and Caroline Nesevich, of Newton.
The groom selected his brother, Mark Magolis, of Indiana, to serve as the best man. Groomsmen were John Watson, of Churchville, brother of the bride, and Gary Agard, of Indiana. The ring bearer was Kierce Magolis, of Indiana, nephew of the groom.
Julia Walker, of Bossier City, La., and Chad Smith, of Leechburg, each read at the ceremony.
The Philadelphia String Quartet provided music during the ceremony and at the reception that followed. The ceremony included a unity sand vase and a presentation of long stemmed white roses was given to the couple’s mothers.
The wedding reception was held on the Fonthill Castle grounds. Cocktail hour was held on the Fonthill Castle terrace overlooking the grounds and dinner and dancing were held near the castle under a white tent.
The bride is a graduate of Edgewood High School in Madison, Wis. She graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She received her Juris Doctorate from Roger Williams University School of Law in Bristol, R.I. She currently practices corporate and securities law in Princeton, N.J.
The groom is a graduate of Punxsutawney High School. He graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in criminology and a master’s degree in adult education and from Clarion University with a master’s degree in library science. He obtained his Ph.D. in instructional systems from Penn State University. He is a professor of mass communications at Bloomsburg University.
The bride and groom reside in Bloomsburg.
