Learning center to screen holiday film

The Crooked Creek Environmental Learning Center near Ford City will hold a special screening of the holiday film classic “Emmet Otter’s Jug-Band Christmas” at 2 p.m. on Dec. 22.

There will be free popcorn and a drawing for a plush toy otter.

Attendees are invited to check out the center’s display of mounted animals or get outside and take a walk on the trails.

The program is free, but donations are always welcome.

The Crooked Creek Environmental Learning Center is about five miles south of Ford City next to Crooked Creek Park.

It is a nonprofit, multi-use facility operated under the auspices of the Armstrong Educational Trust and is available year-round to organized groups and businesses for environmental education, workshops, meetings or retreats.
