I wanted to take this time to thank all of the members, staff and pastors at the Homer City United Methodist Church for their kindness and compassion that they each have shown me over the past several months. I knew I had friends, but I didn’t know exactly how many until now.
Several months ago, while at a routine health examination, I found out I have prostate cancer. Of course, this hit me like a ton of bricks!
Not only did I have to deal with the stress of missed work for doctor’s appointments, but then my mother of 86 passed away on Nov. 9.
This just about put me over the edge, but the understanding and caring that all of you have shown me has made all of these things easier to deal with daily. I truly feel that the Lord had guided me to the Homer City United Methodist Church and since I have put my faith and trust in him, I know that all will work out.
I wanted to make sure that you all know that each and every one of you has a special place in my heart and I am so thankful the Lord has placed you in my life.
