Several people were injured when a van driven by James McCombs, of Clymer, and a Mitsubishi driven by an unidentified 17-year-old from Clymer collided at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on a snow- and slush-covered patch of Route 403.

According to police, all of the injured were taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center.

McCombs was treated and released from the hospital, IRMC officials said today.

One of the Mitsubishi’s passengers, Julie Bardroff, 18, of Clymer, was transported to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, according to those at IRMC.

The condition of the other two passengers in the Mitsubishi was not available this morning.


State police reported a Jeep Cherokee driven by Carl Shupe, of Indiana, and a Mitsubishi Eclipse, driven by Kayla Hoover, of Indiana, collided just before 9 p.m. Dec. 10 at the intersection of Warren Road and Indian Springs Road near Sheetz.

Hoover was taken to Indiana Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, according to police.


A vehicle driven by Kaitlyn M. Ostrawski, 24, of Saltsburg, slid off a snow-covered section of Moween Road and struck a post holding mailboxes and a parked vehicle around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, according to state police at the Kiski Valley station. Ostrawski was not injured, police said.


A westbound vehicle on Route 286 slid off an icy section of the road and struck a utility pole around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, according to state police in Indiana.

Police did not identify the driver.
