BLAIRSVILLE — The Blairsville First United Methodist Church, 50 S. Walnut St., Blairsville, will be offering a live Nativity from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday. The live Nativity will include lambs, a donkey and a presentation of the Christmas story with Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, shepherds, angels and the three wise men.
Parking is available at the back of the church.
Hudak to perform
There will be Christmas music with local musician Nick Hudak at 5 p.m. today at Trinity United Methodist Church, Indiana. There is no charge for admission. A free-will offering will be taken.
Longest night service
On the longest night of the year, Dec. 21 (the winter solstice), Grace United Methodist Church, on the corner of Seventh and Church streets, invites everyone to experience a meditative worship service at 7 p.m. that takes time for remembering, time for sharing our hurts with God and time for preparing our hearts for the coming of Christ.
Come hear Scripture, offer prayers for healing and wholeness, and hear music and a message that acknowledges that God’s presence is for those who mourn, for those who grieve, for those who struggle. God’s Word comes to shine light in our darkness.
Everyone is welcome. The church’s Stephen Ministers will be available following the service to listen and to offer comfort and support. Light refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall after the service.

The Trinity Chancel Choir will present their Christmas cantata, “Bethlehem’s Child,” written by Lloyd Larson and Victor Johnson, at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Indiana. Pastor Propst announces a special Christmas cantata presentation at the Indiana Church of the Nazarene at 10:45 a.m. Sunday.
The piano and stringed instruments will be used for accompaniment. The musicians are Shirley Propst, pianist; Mike Detwiler, guitarist; Leonard Isenberg, guitarist; and Walter Troup, guitarist.

ALVERDA — The Alverda Christian Church has rescheduled its annual Christmas program at 10:45 a.m. Sunday. The program titled “Christmas is …” includes the choir, members of the congregation, and children and youths of the church.
There will be a visit from two special individuals. The service will conclude with a candlelighting service.
Activities for the 9:45 a.m. hour Sunday will be a time of fellowship, light refreshments and gift exchange for the children and the youths of the Sunday school.

Christmas tree presentation
CHERRY TREE — The Lighthouse Morning Star Ministries, Route 240, Cherry Tree, will present its annual Christmas tree presentation at 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday.
This year’s program will be “Christmas Around the World.” The countries to be visited are Israel — Bethlehem, the manger scene and the temple scene of the dedication of baby Jesus — Belgium, Switzerland, Greece and Australia.
There will also be special music, and the Morning Star Ministries dance team will perform, along with the children’s dance team.

Southern gospel music
Everyone is invited to an evening of Southern gospel music family style at 6 p.m. Dec. 29 at Independent Traditional Holiness Church, 5065 Ferguson Road, Indiana.

Happy ReNew Year event
Grace United Methodist Church will have their annual Happy ReNew Year event at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 12 in the church sanctuary.

Pastor James McCaulley has completed a Christmas album, “Behold the Wonder,” recorded at the North Recording Studio with Jake Snyder as recording engineer. Musical background is provided by the North Recording Studio Band, with background vocals by Tina Marie, Jake Snyder and Pastor McCaulley.
The title song portrays Jesus Christ as the Wonder of Christmas. Mission trip to Holy Land
A unique mission trip to the Holy Land, led by Jan Ogden, of Indiana, will take place April 27 to May 9.
Visit the land where Jesus lived, walked and was crucified. The journey incorporates volunteering and serving the people who live in the Holy Land while also visiting holy sites.
