Whether you are a college student or a parent with a beautiful baby, the Pennsylvania Cinderella Scholarship Pageant is looking for you.

The Cinderella Scholarship Program is in search of their first “Indiana Royalty” and will be hosting its first-ever preliminary pageant on Jan. 26 at the VFW Post 1989 on the grounds of Indian Springs Golf and Country Club.

Previous modeling or pageant experience is not necessary to participate. The Cinderella Scholarship Program is not about glitzy clothes and actually discourages the wearing of sequins and rhinestones.

The program is a natural pageant that promotes “real kids in real clothes.” A free modeling workshop is provided before the start of the pageant.

All contestants will participate in casual wear, party wear and photogenic. Babies, from birth to age 3, will participate in a special category called playtime, where they are encouraged to play with a favorite toy. Girls ages 3 to 6 will have the opportunity to show off their personalities by talking with a Cinderella representative on stage in a casual conversation. Girls, teens and women ages 7 to 26 will entertain their family and friends in the audience by performing a talent.

The Indiana Royalty (overall winners in each age division) and pageant participants will have the chance to advance to the Pennsylvania State Pageant, where they will compete for the state title. The state pageant will be held May 23-26 at Seven Springs Resort in Champion, where more than $10,000 in scholarships, cash and other prizes will be awarded. From there, the Pennsylvania state winners will advance in the Cinderella World Finals in Las Vegas in July.

The Cinderella Scholarship Program promotes higher education and strives to help each child follow their dreams and reach their highest potential.

The program is considered the largest and most prestigious youth development program of its kind. More than just a “beauty pageant,” it’s a youth development program that begins on the preliminary level.
