MARION CENTER — State police in Indiana are investigating burglaries at two Marion Center Borough businesses.

According to police, the burglaries at Williams Appliance, 310 Park Ave., and Home Farm Supply, 120 Park Ave., occurred within the past few days.

Police said Williams Appliance was broken into sometime between noon Dec. 27 and 9 a.m. Monday. Money and checkbooks were taken.

The other burglary at Home Farm Supply occurred between 5 p.m. Dec. 28 and 4:45 p.m. Sunday. Police said the burglar took a small amount of money and tried to take a safe.

Police also said they are looking into a third incident that occurred around the time of the burglaries.

In that incident, a Honda dirt bike was taken from 503 Main St. sometime between 5 and 7:40 p.m. Sunday. Police said the dirt bike was later found at Home Farm Supply.

Police said they believe the thief pushed the bike from Main Street to the store. Police said an all-terrain vehicle fled from the area where the bike was found, through Marion Center and up Richmond Road.

Anyone with any information has been asked to call police at (724) 357-1960.
