The Leader’s Circle of Indiana County will reveal the 21 finalists for the 2014 Athena Award and Male and Female Civic Leader awards early next month.
“We are thrilled to have 21 finalists for this year’s awards,” Robin Gorman, event co-chairwoman, said in a release. “This demonstrates the level of dedicated leadership and community commitment we share in Indiana County. Truly, these individuals deserve to be celebrated.”
The finalists will be formally announced and introduced to the public at a Recognition of Finalists’ Reception Feb. 6 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex’s PNC Room.
The event is open to all finalists, their families, members, friends, supporters, nominators and the organization’s members, references and all others interested from the community. Reservations are not required for this free event.
In addition, the Feb. 6 event will kick off ticket sales for the event planned for April 10, also at the KCAC in the Ed Fry Arena. Tickets will be offered at a discount price for one night only at the Feb. 6 recognition event.

The Athena Award honors a woman or a man who is recognized for professional excellence, community service and for actively assisting women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills.
The Male and Female Civic Leader of the Year Awards recognize sustained volunteer service, contributions and accomplishments made on behalf of Indiana County.
