January 30, 2014 10:45 AM

Straight No Chaser, a male a cappella group, will perform at 7 p.m. May 11 at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex in White Township.

The 10-member group has emerged as a phenomenon with a massive fan base, numerous national TV appearances and proven success with CD releases. SNC will be performing their recent album release, “Under The Influence,” their fourth album with Atlantic Records. The album features contributions from superstars Jason Mraz, Rob Thomas, Phil Collins, Dolly Parton and more.

These students from Indiana University who happened to be friends and liked to sing have reinvented the idea of a cappella with an instrument-free musical style that includes a modern pop twist.

Tickets to see Straight No Chaser go on sale Friday and will range from $35 to $65 each. Tickets may be purchased online at; by phone at (800) 298-4200; or by visiting the KCAC box office at 711 Pratt Drive, open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For groups of 20 or more, call (724) 357-5205 to receive a discount on tickets.
