FAITH FRIENDS: The Spring Church Lutheran Church spring session of Faith Friends in kindergarten through sixth grade continues each Tuesday evening through April 8. Each session begins at 5 p.m. with a light supper followed by a Bible story and craft. Sessions will conclude at 6:30 p.m.

If school is canceled during the day due to weather, Faith Friends will be canceled as well. The theme is “Trust in God.”

REVIVAL MEETING: A revival meeting will be held at 7 p.m. today at the Sagamore Holiness Gospel Center. The speakers will be Pastor Kal Henry and Evangelist Rick Cope. For more information, call (724) 910-9125.


FISH FRY: The Church of the Resurrection, Ernest site, will serve a Lenten fish fry from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Creekside Fire Hall. The cost is $9 for adults, $4 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for ages 5 and under.

The meal consists of baked or fried fish, parsley potatoes or haluski, green beans or mixed vegetables, coleslaw or applesauce, choice of assorted homemade desserts, roll, butter and beverage. Takeouts are available.

St. Bernard Regional Catholic School will hold its annual Lenten fish fries on Fridays through April 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the church’s social hall at 200 Clairvaux Drive, White Township.

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the event, every 50th person eating in will receive their meal for only 20 cents.


PIEROGIE SALE: SS. Simon and Jude Parish Center, Morrow Street, Blairsville, will be selling pierogies for $6 by the dozen (frozen) beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday.


CHICKEN DINNER: The Helping Hands of the Robinson Evangelical United Methodist Church is holding a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday in the church building, 332 Mary St., Robinson.

The cost is $8 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children 4 and younger. Takeout is available.


SOUP LUNCHEONS: Soup luncheons open to the entire community will be held from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays during Lent, beginning March 11, at Zion Lutheran Church, Sixth and Church streets, Indiana.

Every Tuesday, three different soups, including a vegetarian selection, will be offered with bread and dessert. Takeouts will be available. Diners will be asked to make free-will offerings to benefit the church’s Community Food Pantry.

The March 11 soup menu is Tuscan vegetable soup, lasagna soup and Italian chicken soup.


CRAFT SALE: The Impulse Youth Group will hold a craft/vendor sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 15 at the Dixonville Wesleyan Church Ministry Center, Dixonville.
