The James G. Mill Center for Health and Fitness in Zink Hall on the Indiana University of Pennsylvania campus is hosting its fourth annual 5K run/walk on April 26.

Registration for the event, to be held on the Hoodlebug Trail, will begin at 10 a.m. The race starts at 11.

Proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to the Sports Gear Project of Samaritan’s Purse. For every $8, one piece of soccer equipment will be donated to children in Cambodia to help with Samaritan’s Purse Youth Sports Leadership Program. Registration forms and more details about the sports gear project can be found on the events page of www.iup.edu./millfitness.

The cost is $18 until April 5 and $20 after that date. The cost for students and members of the fitness center is $15 until race day and $20 on race day. Medals will be awarded for the top three male and female runners in each of seven age groups, and prizes will be handed out for various categories, including walkers. Refreshments will be available, and shoeboxes filled with gift cards and other items from local companies will be raffled.
