HARRISBURG — Warren Peter of Warren Peter Construction Inc. in Armstrong Township was awarded the Pennsylvania Builders Association’s Builder of the Year award Friday during the association’s Installation Banquet and Awards Gala at the Radisson Lackawanna Station in Scranton.
This is one of the association’s highest awards.
Peter was recognized with the statewide award based on his impact on the construction industry and his service to both PBA, the National Association of Home Builders and his local association, the Indiana-Armstrong Builders Association, according to information provided by the state builder’s organization.
Peter has served the association in multiple capacities in his 31 years as a member, as a life director of the board of directors, chairman of multiple committees such as the Pennsylvania Foundation for Housing and Workforce Training and Development, as well as the secretary, vice president and 2012 president of PBA. Peter is active in the Indiana-Armstrong Builders Association, having served as secretary, vice president and president, as well as membership chairman.
He has also served as chairman of the Craft Committee for Carpentry and has been involved in proctoring student exams at the Indiana County Technology Center; building homes for lower-income families with the Indiana County Homes and Habitat for Humanity program; and construction of facilities for the Homer City Baseball Boosters and the Punxsutawney Baseball Boosters.
