The Pennsylvania Game Commission and the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources will offer a workshop, “Maintaining Your Tree Plantings,” on Saturday, April 5, 9:30am – 12pm, at the Loyalhanna Watershed Association’s farm located at 110 Andi Lane, Ligonier, PA.

DCNR Service Forester Mike DiRinaldo will discuss how to care for newly-planted seedlings, going over problems like frost-heaving, vole damage, competition, and invasive species. Pennsylvania Game Commission Wildlife Biologist Tammy Colt will discuss funding opportunities available for landowners and benefits to wildlife. This is a free program, but pre-registration is required. For more information and to register, contact Tammy Colt at 814-233-2281 or tcolt@pa.gov.
