HIGH SCHOOL LACROSSE: Latrobe trounces Indiana girls

The Latrobe girls’ lacrosse teams came away from Andy Kuzneski Field on Friday night with lopsided wins over host Indiana in WPIAL action.

In the varsity game, the Wildcats scored a 19-2 win.

Chrissy Conklin scored both of the Indians’ goals. Megan Lydick had four ground balls, Haylee Sesock had three, and Conklin had two. Goalie Leah Pidgeon made 18 saves.

In the junior varsity match, Latrobe won via shutout, 14-0.

Alicia Kunkle paced Indiana with seven ground balls. Cayla Arthurs had five, and Mary McConnell and Teresa Roth had four apiece. Goalie Chyenne Yeager had 14 saves.

Indiana plays host to Yough on Tuesday.
