Marion Center ace Megan Risinger tossed a three-hitter and drove in three runs to power the Stingers to a 5-1 win over visiting Cambria Heights in a non-conference softball game Wednesday.

“That’s what we were looking for when we scheduled Cambria Heights,” Marion Center coach Ed Peterson said. “We wanted some tough non-conference teams on our schedule to give us some close games, and today we got one.”

Risinger struck out eight, walked one and surrendered three singles. She also went 3-for-3 with a double.

Laken Ryen singled, doubled and scored three times for the Stingers.

Marion Center (2-0) plays host to Ligonier Valley on Friday.
