MEETING: The Keystone Doll Collectors will hold their next meeting at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Eat’n Park Restaurant, White Township. The program will be Patsy Dolls. Guests are welcome.
CRAFT FAIR: The Crafty Christians Spring Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Purchase Line United Methodist Church. There will be vendors with handmade items, baked goods, plants and homemade candy by the PLUM youth group. Lunch will be served in the activity social room.
CRAFT SHOW: The Elderton Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a spring craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the fire hall. The event will feature local vendors with a wide variety of crafts, such as crocheted kitchen items, tea towels, dishcloths, potholders, florals, woodwork, jewelry, handmade soaps, home demo vendors and much more. Also homemade Easter candy will be available. The kitchen will be open. Admission and parking will be free. A few tables are still available. BENEFIT: A benefit for the Avonmore Harvest Jubilee will be held April 19 at the Italian Club, Westmoreland Avenue, Avonmore. All My Monsters will perform beginning at 9 p.m. This is the 50th anniversary of the first jubilee held in 1964.
CASH BASH: A cash bash to benefit the Avonmore Harvest Jubilee will be held May 3 at the Polish Club, 501 Indiana Ave., Avonmore. Doors will open at 2 p.m. The cost is $10 for two numbers, food and refreshments. The event is sponsored by the Avonmore Community Association.
CANDY SALE: The Hopewell United Methodist Women, Blairsville, are selling their homemade candy Easter eggs. There are four kinds available: peanut butter, maple nut, coconut, and fruit and nut, in milk chocolate or white chocolate. The cost is $5 for a half-pound size and $9.50 for a 1-pound size. KNITTING CIRCLE: The Indiana County Knit/Crochet Circle will meet from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday in the Glen Oaks housing community Great Room, Whippoorwill Street, White Township.
The group will be making “knots of love” hats for cancer patients with yarn donated by Susan Grim of Suzy B’s Knits, Smicksburg. All patterns and yarn will be available to anyone interested. Please bring your own drink and snack.
DINNER: The Homer City United Methodist Church will hold a lasagna dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Dinner will include lasagna, meatball, salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Meal price for adults is $10 and for children 3 to 12 is $5. Tickets will be available at the door as supply lasts or reserve yours by calling the church office at (724) 479-2015.
The proceeds from this dinner will benefit the Alaska Mission Team.
DINNER: A fish dinner will be held from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Church of the Resurrection, Glen Campbell. Takeout will be available. Meal cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children 6 to 12. Dinner includes baked/fried fish, parsley potatoes, homemade pierogies, halushki, vegetable, coleslaw or applesauce, roll, homemade dessert and beverage.
