Indiana police said James Gibson, 18, of Brush Valley, had marijuana in his possession at 8 p.m. May 22 along the 500 block of South Sixth Street. Gibson was taken into custody by police and later released.
Police said their subsequent investigation revealed Gibson was selling and distributing marijuana. A felony arrest warrant was obtained and he was taken into custody by the state police.
He was taken to the Indiana County Jail for preliminary arraignment on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
A GPS unit, iPod, sunglasses and cords were stolen from a vehicle along the 1300 block of Oakland Avenue between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 12:45 a.m. today, according to Indiana police.
