Hanna Beer recently took third place in the Western Pennsylvania Youth Awareness Program.
She then traveled to Gettysburg, with other top finishers, for the International Student Congress.
The participants received a scholarship from the Pennsylvania Moose Association for their hard work and dedication to the YA program.
The Youth Awareness Program is for high school students in ninth through 12th grades with the goal of educating preschool- and elementary school-age children on a variety of topics, including drug and alcohol abuse, child abuse, “stranger danger,” bullying, peer pressure, good sportsmanship and healthy habits and nutrition.
Dixonville Moose Family Center will be giving both Hanna and Laken Ryen a scholarship for participating in the YA program.
