Work has begun on a surface improvement project along North Fifth Street in Indiana Borough and White Township, according to a release from PennDOT.
Daytime, single-lane restrictions controlled by flaggers are in place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Work will continue each day until the project is completed in August. There will be no nighttime restrictions. Work for this surface improvement project includes milling, patching and paving of the roadway to improve the ride quality and provide a safer route for the traveling public.
PennDOT has reminded motorists to be alert to changing conditions, to pay attention to flaggers and traffic control devices and to remember fines are doubled in the work zone.
This $2,739,211 surface improvement project is being done by Quaker Sales.
