ALTOONA — Homer-Center staged a fourth-quarter comeback to defeat Bishop Guilfoyle, 22-12, in the District 6 Class A championship football game Saturday night at a snow-covered Mansion Park.
The Wildcats (12-1) trailed, 12-8, with less than 4 minutes to play. Homer-Center converted on a fourth-down pass and Ean Lee ran 11 yards for the go-ahead score with 3:40 left. Shawn Steffee sacked Bishop Guilfoyle quarterback Brandon Chadbourn in the end zone for a safety to cement the victory.
The district title is Homer-Center’s third in school history and its first since 1994.
