GREENSBURG — Indiana defeated Greensburg Salem, 36-18, in an eighth-grade boys’ basketball game Monday.

Carlos Carter and Danny Millen scored six points apiece for Indiana.

Indiana (3-2) plays host to Norwin on Wednesday.

• GREENSBURG — Indiana improved to 3-1 by defeating Greensburg Salem, 46-28, in a seventh-grade boys’ basketball game Monday.

The Indians’ Luke Thomas led all scorers with 18 points.

MC boys’ team falls to DuBois

MARION CENTER — DuBois Central Catholic beat Marion Center, 52-46, in a ninth-grade boys’ basketball game Monday.

Matt Gaston scored a game-high 14 points to lead Marion Center. Sloan Brocious added 12 points.

Marion Center (1-2) travels to Ligonier Valley on Thursday.

HC boys’ team wins opener

Logan Williams hit a 3-point field goal in the final minute of the game and helped Homer-Center win its season opener, 45-42 over Ligonier Valley in a ninth-grade boys’ basketball game.

Homer-Center’s Tanner Yancy led all scorers with 12 points. Jesse Lee and Michael Ginter scored eight points apiece.

Kobe Short scored 11 points to lead Ligonier Valley.

Aaron Tutino tacked on nine points.

Homer-Center won the seventh- and eighth-grade game, 30-6.

Austin Perry scored a game-best nine points for Homer-Center. Chris Ober chipped in five points.

IUP baseball’s winter camps set

The IUP baseball team will hold three indoor baseball camps in January and February. IUP coach Jeff Ditch will hold Winter Camp I on Jan. 25 and Winter Camp II on Feb. 1. An advanced skills camp will be held Feb. 8. For information or to register, visit www.iup.edu/camps.
