PINE TOWNSHIP — Emergency responders worked more than one hour today to extricate an injured motorist from a wrecked vehicle on Route 422.
The driver was sent by medical helicopter to a regional trauma center soon after being freed from the vehicle by volunteer firefighters.
The crash was reported just after 1:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Nolo, according to the Indiana County Emergency Management Agency web site.
Pine Township, Cherryhill Township and Brush Valley firefighters were dispatched to the scene along with paramedics.
State police investigated the accident but so far have released no information.
