MARION CENTER 64, SALTSBURG 31: Second-place Marion Center raced to a 12-point first-quarter lead and made a season-high 10 3-point field goals to score its sixth straight win, a lopsided victory over visiting Saltsburg in a Heritage Conference game.

Chantel Glasser scored a game-high 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Marion Center. Jenny Irvin hit four 3-point field goals and fired in 20 points and handed out a game-high seven assists. Karlie Snyder added 11 points and a game-high five steals, and Morgan Glasser had eight rebounds.

Abby Peace led Saltsburg with 10 points.

Marion Center (16-3, 12-1) travels to Ligonier tonight, and Saltsburg plays host to Penns Manor on Tuesday.

LIGONIER VALLEY 47, UNITED 36: Ligonier Valley jumped out to a 10-point halftime lead and shut down visiting United to coast to a win in a Heritage Conference game.

Taylor Rudnik led Ligonier with nine points and nine steals. Madison McLaughlin scored 14 points, Amanda Ross had 11, and Helene Bloom had nine rebounds.

United’s Eden Bloom led all scorers with 19 points.

Both teams play this evening. Ligonier Valley (10-7, 8-3) plays host to Marion Center, and United (11-6, 9-4) travels to Harmony.

PENNS MANOR 52, NORTHERN CAMBRIA 35: Penns Manor built a 22-point halftime lead and played smothering defense to ease past Northern Cambria in a Heritage Conference game in Kenwood.

The Comets raced to an 11-point first-quarter lead, 15-4, before surrendering just seven points in the second quarter to take a 33-11 halftime advantage.

Mary Roach scored 10 points to lead Penns Manor.

Allison Sedlock led Northern Cambria with 10 points.

Penns Manor (5-12, 3-9) plays host to Apollo-Ridge on Monday, and Northern Cambria welcomes Homer-Center on Tuesday.
