PITTSBURGH (AP) — Two 15-year-olds are being charged with robbery after a pizza delivery driver tackled them as they ran from Pittsburgh police in a vehicle that police said had been carjacked from the deliveryman the night before.
Online court records don’t list attorneys for the suspects, Akeyba Sanchez and Carl English.
They were tackled Wednesday afternoon by Inomjon Madumarov. The 29-year-old native of Uzbekistan had been carjacked the night before and was driving around in another vehicle looking for his stolen car when he spotted it — with the teen suspects inside being chased by city detectives who recognized it as the one reported stolen on Tuesday.
Police said Madumarov gave chase after the teens crashed his stolen vehicle into the one Madumarov was driving and tackled both suspects.
