JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Indiana boys fall to Hempfield

GREENSBURG — Hempfield beat Indiana, 44-32, in a ninth-grade boys’ basketball game Friday.

Eric Bray led Indiana with 11 points. Cam Richards grabbed 11 rebounds to go with six points.

• HOMER CITY — Tanner Yancy scored a game-best 17 points to lead Homer-Center to a 51-36 win over Purchase Line in a ninth-grade game.

Corey Cavalier added 14 points for Homer-Center.

Shamar Campbell scored 11 points for Purchase Line. Melvin Sanchez added 10 points.

Homer-Center won the seventh- and eighth-grade game, 19-16.

Austin McAdams scored six points for the Wildcats, and Zach Zelensky added five points.

Campbell led Purchase Line with 10 points.

• NORTHERN CAMBRIA — Penns Manor swept a junior high doubleheader with Northern Cambria. The Comets won the ninth-grade game, 42-22, and the eighth-grade game, 24-11.

Collin Trinkley led the Penns Manor ninth-graders with 12 points. Adam Dumm scored 11 points.

Brad McMullen scored eight points to lead the Colts.

Ben Weaver scored seven points to lead Penns Manor in the eighth-grade game.
