The event, which included 13 competing squads, included twirling, dance and color guard events.

The squad was victorious in its matchup against Glendale High School. The theme of the majorettes’ routine is Charlie’s Angels, and the twirlers have been practicing the routine since December.

Their performance score earned them first place in the twirling competition.

When asked what her favorite part of a competition is, Abigail Lewis said, “I enjoy showing people how hard we’ve worked.”

The Penns Manor competition squad consists of eight students: Abigail Lewis, LaShay Johnson, Sydney Duvall, Reilly Hill, Jordan Hill, Lisa Mason, Mackenzie Pileski and Haylee Lemmon. It is led by head coach Jennifer Belleau and assistant coaches Mary Ellen Lohr and Sarah Russell.

The squad will continue to compete through May, which is when its season ends.
